ResComp Mission Statement
The Residence Halls Computing Program (ResComp) provides information technology education, services, and support to University Housing residents, Living Learning programs, staff, and faculty that will enrich their chosen academic and personal pursuits, now and in the future.
ResComp Vision Statement
In support of the University community in the 21st century, the Residence Halls Computing Program (ResComp) intends:
- To be nationally recognized for leadership and innovation in seamlessly integrating information technology services and education into the fabric of resident life.
- To develop partnerships and collaborative efforts that will benefit our customers and partners, setting a new standard toward which other departments and institutions will strive.
- To nurture an ethnically rich and gender diverse staff, who will be valued and remembered for the contributions made to the lives of those they serve.
- To be an effective and efficient steward of the information technology resources with which we have been entrusted.
- To offer our skills and resources in support of University Housing residents, Living Learning programs, staff, and faculty by allowing them to realize their full potential through the use of information technology.
- To support an environment that fosters creativity, diversity, productivity, and social awareness among residents.
- To provide ubiquitous, consistent access to the existing information technology environment.
- To encourage use and exploration of the information technology environment in a responsible, educated, and enlightened manner.
- To engender technological competency among those we serve, providing them with a core set of skills which will enable their continued learning and use of information technology outside of our environment.
- To foster an environment in which the use of information technology will heighten cognition of social issues and strengthen communities.
